Bucket List

I have learned in my many years on this earth (65) that if you don't have any dreams or goals, your life becomes mundane.  You fall into ruts that are difficult to crawl out of.

I also worked for a short time for a horrible person who expected perfection.  What I left with from that job was to have a card in your pocket with lists of things to be done.  Cross off each thing as it was completed and move on to the next.  This way you won't forget.

Well I've become a list keeper.  Mostly because when you get to my age it is difficult to remember everything. As I say "The brain is only so big. As you get older and learn more and more, there comes a point when you learn something new, something old has to leave to make room."  Therefore keeping a list will help not to forget.

Now combining the two - having dreams and goals and making a list not to forget - you can try to achieve what you set goals for and not forget what it was you wanted to do!

Therefore my Bucket List so far consists of:

Get to VA to see my new granddaughter
Go to California to see Todd's new house
Retire
buy a motor home and see the 50 states
Visit Ireland
Live long enough to have grandchildren
Have a job I enjoy
fly in a helocopter
visit Australia
be in NYC for New Years Eve
live in a house on a body of water with a porch to have coffee on
serve dinner at the Rescue Mission on a holiday
get a family portrait
