My Buddies

My buddies are my doggy, Archie and my kitty, Anya.  ARCHIE (originally known as Mr.Belvadiere) was adopted from a rescue shelter in NY when he had been abandoned by a family.  He was approximately 8 years old and the most calm, content little guy you would ever want.  He sleeps a lot, plays occasionally with his little stuffed toys and enjoys his evening walk to the mail box.

Archie, being around 13-14 yrs old now likes to play with his toys but tuckers out quickly.  These are pictures of Arch with his "Pig-Man".

ANYA

Anya is a purebred Siberian that I am am truely indebted to Judy for arranging for me to parent this beautiful and unique cat.

Siberians are for people who have allergies to cats because their saliva has a low or no existant FEL D1 which is an allergen and extremely potent. Secretions from the glands of the skin are the primary source of FEL D1, but it is also deposited on the fur through the saliva when they clean themselves. Eventually the allergen flakes off and becomes airborne to trigger the symptoms that characterize allergies to cats.   It is because of the low FEL D1 that many people who have allergies to cats can own a Siberian.

Anyhow - she is the QUEEN of the house!  She is soft, snuggly and playful.  She is a bird cat not a mouse cat.  Her toys she favors are birdlike.  If I buy her a mouse, she doesn't play with it. She loves sitting on her cat perch in front of the window and watch the birds feed.
